On the 4th February 2010 one of the most valued members of the Church End Team, LDV van V642 DGJ, moved onto to pastures new. He had a fulfilled and eventful life at the brewery, never faltering in his task of providing beer to the general public.
We shall miss you always! The Brewery Team. |

He arrived one spring morning in 2001, paintwork gleaming in the sun, bumpers all firm and pert and pistons thrumming eagerley in his boyish engine. From that day he worked tirelessly, never once complaining about inclement weather, the bumps and scrapes that he endured on his rounds and the occasional 'overloading' of his now middle aged road springs. Over the next 9 years this little 'titan' proved his worth by chipping in where his larger colleagues often failed, his little engine and pistons drove the fleet on.
His cheery disposition should be an example to us all in such trying times as these and perhaps, every spring, when the mist rises from the fields in the morning and a pink sun peers through the gloom, the brewery yard and carpark will echo to the faint sound of a happy van tooting his little horn in excitement.
